Cripping Femme Zine Drop
Please join the Cripping Femme crew for an evening of sexy, edgy, and
of course *SPARKLY* resistance to invisibility, essentialization, and
marginalization.
Edited by the fabulous Leslie Freeman the
Cripping Femme Zine is by and for queerly feminine folks with
dis/abilities and contains the perspectives of 10 self identified
queerly feminine folks who share their stories with intensity, honesty, and beauty. The Cripping Femme Zine tour is working its way across the nation and each stop features the talented, fierce, sexy and smart voices of some of the contributing authors. At the Western Mass. reading we welcome the voices of editor Leslie Freeman along with
contributors Jeanette Beal, Nicky Click, Arden Eli Hill, Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasihna and Martina Robinson.
We’re working hard to make this event accessible and inclusive. Though we can’t guarantee a scent-free event, we do ask that you refrain from wearing scented products to the event out of respect to those with chemical sensitivities. Thank you.
“As a femme with disabilities it was a pleasure to get the chance to sit and read a collection of pieces all by queerly feminine folks who had really smart, sexy, important, complicated, challenging, exciting, inspiring, and innovative things to say about their own experiences with disability, community response, accessibility, and the intersectionality of identity” --- Sassafras Lowry
