Support & Sustain Food For Thought Books Collective
BE A PART OF THE STORY
that keeps collectives & independent bookstores
ALIVE and THRIVING!
We've been hit hard by many of the same factors contributing to the nationwide decline of independent bookstores, including: big box stores, Amazon, the rise of e-books, and, more recently, a severe drop in textbooks sales.
For over 30 years, Food For Thought Books Collective has:
- been the only not-for-profit worker-owned collective bookstore in Western Massachusetts
- been one of the only collective bookstores in the country run by paid workers
- specialized in and promoted radical & progressive media in all its various forms
- supported and promoted thousands of independent artists and writers, small presses, radical media projects, and social justice campaigns
- been a community institution - run and operated by community members, local folk who live here with you
- served our community as a hub for radical and progressive exchange where individuals, artists, movements, voices & ideas silenced and ignored by the mainstream media can be heard, seen, supported & realized.
